SolarPower Europe Wins Best Provision of Industry Information and Intelligence

SolarPower Europe was named the winner of the Best Provision of Industry Information and Intelligence at the European Association Awards (EAA). James Watson, CEO of SolarPower Europe, commented “This is the second year in a row that we have received an EAA award, this time for our market intelligence and information provision for members. Winning this award is a testament to SolarPower Europe’s important contributions to the European solar and energy sector.”

Michael Schmela, Head of Market Intelligence at SolarPower Europe, added “The success of SolarPower Europe’s Market Intelligence team to produce the Global Market Outlook is in great part thanks to the support of our members. As we represent companies across the entire solar value chain, we have unique access to very comprehensive and frontline data, which makes this report one of the most in-depth and inclusive analyses of solar in Europe.”

The European Association Awards said “The judges felt this was a very impressive entry. A focused market presentation, which was well presented, useful, precise, clear and result oriented.” They added “The market report is very valuable as it not only contains data and analysis, but also solutions to perceived challenges.” The judges concluded “Well-structured market information delivering against a variety of objectives and creating visibility in the media with outstanding outreach among target audiences”.

SolarPower Europe also won silver in the Best Networking Event category for RE-Source 2017, thus, leaving the event with two awards.

The European Association Awards have been developed to recognise excellence and exceptional achievements in European trade and professional associations. The European Association Awards took place on Friday 23rd February at the Steigenberger Wiltcher’s Hotel in Brussels where the 17 winners were revealed.
