Italian cabling company Prysmian is running its ‘Make It’ and ‘Sell It’ recruiting programmes for the fourth and third year, respectively. The programmes aim to select and train talented people from around the world.
Make It targets process, maintenance, planning and quality engineers, as well as other specialist technical staff who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent, and acquired between three and seven years’ experience in similar positions. They must also show leadership qualities and a passion for innovation.
The four-year initiative includes a one-week induction at the company’s Milan headquarters, three weeks of training at the global manufacturing academy in Turkey and attendance at the Prysmian Group Academy in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Sell It is a three-year scheme designed to recruit sales professionals. They must have degrees in economics, engineering or chemistry or have technical backgrounds and have three to five years of experience in sales within the industrial manufacturing or consumer goods sectors.
Training is at the Prysmian Global Sales Academy before moving on to the company’s key plants. Applicants must be fluent in English, with about 100 people expected to recruited through both programmes.
Prysmian chief HR officer Fabrizio Rutschmann said: “In 2018, through the Build The Future, Make It and Sell It programmes, we recruited 120 talented people from around the world who started an international and tailor-made training process at Prysmian, in partnership with the most prestigious scientific institutions and universities.”
