Entek takes over 60-MW Suloglu wind power plant from STEAG

(Enerji IQ – August 2021) Entek Electricity Generation A.S completed the acquisition process of the Suloglu wind power plant, which has an installed capacity of 60 MW. Entek paid €58.9 million to Germany’s STEAG GmbH to acquire 100% of the shares of the wind plant.

Entek is the power-producing and trading company of the Turkish conglomerate Koc Group. The total installed capacity of Entek’s power plants reached 436 MW after the acquisition. The company’s portfolio includes eight 264-MW hydroelectric power plants in Kahramanmaras, Karaman, Samsun, and Mersin; a 60-MW wind power plant at Edirne; and a 112-MW natural gas power plant in Kocaeli.
